Memorial Day Picnic & Recognition Ceremony

In order to work around the Town of Trumbull's Memorial Day events, the Nichols Community will meet on the Nichol's Green on Sunday May 30th. Join us as we remember those who lost their lives protecting our country and honor those Nichols residents who served.

Picnic on the Nichols Green

Order take-out from a local restaurant or pack a picnic from home. Bring a blanket and chairs for an evening outside in the heart of Nichols.

6:30pm

Memorial Day Recognition Ceremony.

Lowering of Flag on Nichols Green

Raising of new Flag which flew over the U.S. Capital, Washington, D.C.

National Anthem - Isabel Chistoni, Nichols’ resident, 2020 graduate of Trumbull High School pursing a professional career in the performing arts

UNITED STATES VETERANS TO BE HONORED:

Jeff Williams, World War II Veteran

turns 100 in 2021

Trumbull VFW Commander Roy Molgard

United States Marine Corps, served in Vietnam

Memorial Wreath Placed at Nichols Green War Memorial. Children of Nichols invited to place provided Red, White & Blue flowers

Flag Lowered to Half Mast in Memory of Those Who Have lot their lives while serving the United States of America

Taps - Sarah Wojtaszek, a Junior at Trumbull High School, member of the THS Golden Eagle Marching Band and THS Jazz Band

Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops will be Participating in Ceremony
