Vendor of the Week: Pepe's Cream of the Crop

June 1, 2016

Pepe's Cream of the Crop is run by Ed and Laurie who catch their daily fresh clams in Stratford, Ct. A fun fact about  the company is that they  got their name was from his father, Pepe, who is a World War two veteran. Pepe who is 90 years old still goes out on the boat to catch the clams! Their company does not keep any clams over three days old and they are known for their fresh clams. Laurie stated, "If we don't eat it our self, we don't sell it!" Laurie's husband, Ed has been working out on the water since 1972 which inspired them to start their business. Make sure to buy some clams tomorrow and remember the market runs from 3:30 to 6:30!! Say hello to Laurie and Pepe tomorrow!!
